Join our Girotondo Italian Playgroup For Children aged 3-5 years!
Our Girotondo Italian Playgroup sessions in Brisbane are a fun and engaging way for children to learn and play in a safe, stimulating environment.
For children aged 3 to 5 years, our Girotondo Italian Playgroup aims at providing an informal semi-structured setting where the Italian language is taught through the use of visual, tactile and auditory stimuli relevant to children.
Why choose Girotondo Italian Playgroup?
Through songs, games, and storytelling, your children will be introduced to basic Italian words, phrases, and expressions – exploring topics such as greetings and introductions, colours, numbers, and shapes, family and friends, animals, nature, and the changing seasons and weather.
They will also discover the joy of food and mealtimes and the richness of Italian culture through songs, rhymes, stories, and traditional celebrations and festivals.
Along the way, social skills are developed through sharing, cooperation, and group play, while early literacy and numeracy concepts are explored through creative play, crafts, and guided discovery.
Art, music, and movement activities encourage imagination and self-expression, while crafts, sensory play, and outdoor activities support both fine and gross motor development – all within an atmosphere that fosters a genuine appreciation for Italian traditions, music, and diversity.
We also encourage the participation of a parent/guardian in the activities as you are your child’s best role model!
Please note the minimum age to attend our Girotondo Playgroup is 3 years.
