Book Club Italiano

Duration: 8 weeks, 1 session per fortnight

 

Activities include:

• Textual analysis
• Cultural references and insights
• Study of selected expressions and idioms
• Grammar and syntax analysis based on the text
• Translation practice using selected excerpts
• Contrastive analysis between the novel and its film adaptation

By the end of the course, you will have developed:

• Expanded vocabulary and cultural knowledge
• Stronger understanding of grammar and syntax
• Improved reading strategies, including backward and forward referencing
• Enhanced critical and analytical skills
• Greater confidence and competence in reading authentic literary texts

Prerequisite: Minimum Italian language level of B1 required.

• Missed classes cannot be made up by joining other classes on different days/times.
• Once enrolled, fees cannot be refunded unless classes are cancelled by ILC.
• ILC accepts no responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance.
• Places will be allocated on a FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED basis.
