Synopsis: It’s 1943 and Allied Forces are landing in Sicily. Back in New York, Arturo and Flora’s love for each other is threatened because she has been promised in marriage to the son of a Mafia Boss. Eeek!! The only way Arturo can hope to marry Flora is by obtaining permission from her father who lives in Sicily. But Arturo has no money! The only way to get to Sicily is to enlist in the U.S. Army which is preparing to land on the island. This comedy is a clever narrative of how relations between Allies and the Mafia during World War II shaped the fate of Sicily in years to come.
