Girotondo Playgroups and After School Italian Classes celebrate Christmas

Our ILC Christmas celebrations provided a joyful and festive end to the year for students, families and staff alike as we hosted the traditional after-school Italian Christmas concert.
Families and teachers gathered to watch the students sing Italian Christmas songs they had been practising in class.
A special highlight of the afternoon was a visit from Babbo Natale, who arrived with presents for the students and made the smiles even bigger.
The celebrations continued throughout December with Christmas Playgroup sessions, where children and their families enjoyed a relaxed and cheerful morning creating Christmas crafts and singing Christmas carols in Italian!
Santa once again made a welcome appearance and handed out presents to ILC’s youngest learners. On both occasions, guests were treated to panettone, a much-loved Italian Christmas tradition, which added an authentic touch to the celebrations.
The celebrations were a lovely way to share Italian language and culture while celebrating the festive season as a community.
