Books must be purchased separately by students in either digital or hard copy format.
Activities include:
- Textual analysis
- Cultural references and insights
- Study of selected expressions and idioms
- Grammar and syntax analysis based on the text
- Translation practice using selected excerpts
- Contrastive analysis between the novel and its film adaptation
By the end of the course, you will have developed:
- Expanded vocabulary and cultural knowledge
- Stronger understanding of grammar and syntax
- Improved reading strategies, including backward and forward referencing
- Enhanced critical and analytical skills
- Greater confidence and competence in reading authentic literary texts
Prerequisite: Minimum Italian language level of B1 required.
Conditions of enrolment
• ^Available classes are subject to change depending on enrolment levels
• Class durations may vary between 1.5 - 2hours
• Missed classes cannot be made up by joining other classes on different days/times
• Once enrolled, fees cannot be refunded unless classes are cancelled by ILC
• ILC accepts no responsibility for changes to students’ personal circumstances that prevent attendance
• Places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis
• In the case of classes with less than 8 students enrolled, ILC may cancel the class and refund the enrolment fee and cost of materials where applicable
